Turtle and Tortoise Preservation Group - Conference

We are very excited to announce the second annual Turtle and Tortoise Preservation Group Conference on Captive Care and Breeding this year. The TTPG Conference will be held at the Mesa Marriott on Thursday, November 18th and Friday, November 19th. The conference will include talks on captive care, nutrition, health and medical issues, and other important topics for those keeping and breeding turtles and tortoises in captivity. The Conference will end on Friday at noon with a lunch banquet and keynote speaker. The Phoenix Reptile Expo will begin on Friday after the Conference and the Expo will be Saturday and Sunday, November 20th and 21st.

Greg Fleming DVM, Richard Fife, Kurt Edwards, Mike Rapley, Cord Offermann DVM, Drew Rheinhardt, and many more.  We are excited to announce that Ryan Walker (top tortoise field biologist in Madagascar) and Michael Ogle from the Knoxville Zoo will be joining us for this year's conference and for our PYXIS SUMMIT to be help on Thursday night.

ANNOUNCEMENT!  We have confirmed Tomas Diagne of Senegal (TORTOISE VILLAGE) as our 2011 banquet speaker!  Tomas was the recipient of  the Rolex Associate Laureate in 1998 and he is well known for his conservation work throughout much of Africa.  Tomas will speak about his TORTOISE VILLAGE in Senegal, breeding and reintroduction of Adanson's Mud Turtle, Pelusios adansoni, as well as other exciting projects!
